Hello, I’m Suzanne, a graphic designer, art director, maker and painter, currently freelancing from my startup homestead in upstate New York.

Current I am contracted with the Rochester City School District and the Center for Reproductive Rights., Previously I was the Director of Marketing and Development for the Tennessee Arts Commission for 7+ years. Before joining the Commission, I was the Creative Director for Goodwill of Middle Tennessee.

Prior to moving to Nashville in 2011, I operated my business, Message Brand Advertising, in Ithaca, New York. The boutique agency offered clients a wide range of integrated marketing, branding, and advertising services from concept to finished product. Clients included Cornell University, the Rochester City School District, Light in Winter Festival, Momentum Media Inc., TST BOCES, Clarity Consulting, and United Way.

During those early business start-up years, I was also an assistant professor in the Integrated Marketing Communications Degree Program at the Park School of Communications, Ithaca College.

Earlier in my career, I was an art director for several advertising agencies in New York City. At Bozell New York, I was a part of the creative team for the launch of Verizon Wireless. I was the creator of the Duncan Hines “Create Your Own” campaign which earned industry recognition. I also worked on other national accounts such as Lycos, NFMB Milk Board, and Jergens. At Anderson & Lembke, I worked on advertising creative for national campaigns and collateral for Dow Plastics, Allegro Resorts, FORE Systems, TSI Soft, AGFA, and Credit Suisse Private Banking.
